Each lobsterman chooses a distinct buoy color, size and pattern to distinguish his traps from his fellow fisherman. The lobstermen are able to find their fishing equipment and catch based on their buoy design when pulling their traps. Laser etched and designed with traditional buoy colors of red, blue and green. The bright colors allow the buoys to be visible through Maine fog during the summer. Many times the buoy color pattern may be handed down from one generation to another within a fishing family. Choose your favorite buoy color and enjoy some of our Maine traditions. Made with love from our studio in Westbrook, Maine.
